Extractions & Bone Grafting

Let's face it; sometimes teeth don't last the duration of your life. Whether it is from trauma, a crack or chip in the tooth, or an infection, occasionally a tooth needs to be removed. Here at our office, we provide safe and comfortable ways to provide these services. 

An extraction can be for a number of reasons, and Dr. Katie Tigani is able to perform them all. Whether is is an infected front tooth or an impacted wisdom tooth, extractions are one of her specialties. Although an extraction may seem simple to do, there are a few things that could happen during that time, such as bone loss.

Bone loss is a very important thing to look at when removing a tooth that is sometimes overlooked. When a tooth is removed, our office always thinks ahead, and plans for what the final product will look like in your mouth. If there is tooth replacement, such as a dental implant, that will occur once the extraction site is healed, it is important to maintain how much bone is currently there.
